LOL ! You might ...
LOL ! You might not know this but back in? the '80's Chrysler Owned Lamborghini . The Chrysler drag team put a Blown 440 in one . After that not sure how well it worked . I was turned off when they made it a front engine ,rather than a mid engine drive . Not to mention I would have preferred a Hemi . I'm guessing racing rules had everything to do with that drive train combo...

Richard Petty had ...
Richard Petty had one of the most recognizable cars in Stock car History . The '70 Superbird . While sales for those cars did not go through the roof , I am sure that his constant wins helped sales of other? Chrysler products . Big Dady Don Garlits Has been a Mopar guy for a VERY long time ,And some other names Dick Landy , Shirley Muldowney, Mr, Norm, RamChargers, Sox And Martin . Some of these names were VERY popular before the '70's And racing SOLD cars back then .

I'm sorry to inform ...
I'm sorry to inform you but Mopars? were Much more popular than you may think . Hemi Cudas and Darts are in a class by themselves . Because they had the best power to weight ratio of ANY Detroit iron of the time . My Road Runner was comparable in weight to a Chevelle . And the Road Runner was one of the best selling cars in the '68 through '70 model years . All the cars were more or less heavy if compared to the tinfoil and plastic things they make today . I need more space ...

it's ok i had to back up chevy on your saying. i wasn't going to let someone say different than what i know, which are facts. i have found Motor Trend mag. is the best way to get info on older? cars and also today's worlds cars. i'm sure we don't have the money to just go get all the newest cars and test them to the max.

Sorry I worded it ...
Sorry I worded it wrong, i was trying to say that dodge had their viper? in the 90's. And for the dodge that ran 8's, you are correct. i was misinformed, I just looked in my book and it said 11.4, which is still crazy for 1964, but its no eight. sorry for the confusion

really the viper ...
really the viper was out in the 60s and 70s? last i knew the viper came out in 1992? and really 8s in the quarter-mile? really? no cause the last car that rolled in high speeds was in 1969 and it was a Zl1 vette that ran 10s in the quarter-mile holding the title as the fastest car up til around 99 to 2000 when? they did a zl1 camaro that broke low 9s. the 1969 zl1 vette two were only made. thats made from factory with not being production car.

and no dodge? ...
and no dodge? wasn't in til everyone in the mind 70s after every chevy and ford guy blew up there motors. it wasn't til then mopar came in cause all the people who bought their mopars back in 60s and early 70s were rolling out there cars and beating the chevys and fords from the 70s and everyone jumped on the mopar band wagon.

really only car in ...
really only car in the 80s i know that was popular that was an "import" was datson 280z that thing was bad ass dual? curbs that walked anything that it raced. and imports didnt come big til fast and furious movies came out in 99 to 2000. so yeah. and the viper isn't anything special. a v-10 that can't take a v-8.

oh really, in the ...
oh really, in the 80's and 90's everyone was pretty much doing tuners and asian cars, thats what was in. Dodge had there viper, and they were very popular in the 60's and 70's, funny thing is that the 80's were terrible, they were popular? before that. They had the unbelievable engine called a Hemi, they had a car that ran 8's in the quarter-mile. There's alot of things they had. I'd rather have a car that isn't one of millions like camaros.
